Как известно, на данный момент лишь два крупных производителя мобильных устройств выпустили на рынок аппараты с 3D-дисплеями: это HTC и LG. На экранах их смартфонов HTC Evo 3D и LG Optimus 3D можно увидеть объемное изображение. Однако, до сих пор такие модели — редкость, хотя вскоре ситуация может измениться: компании Samsung Electronics и Nokia подали в Американский Офис Патентов и Торговых Марок (USPTO) заявки с описанием соответствующих разработок.

Так, в патенте Nokia описан двухрежимный дисплей, который может демонстрировать как плоскую, так и объемную картинку и между этими режимами можно переключаться. В заявке Samsung описано примерно аналогичное решение, причем, специальные очки смотрящему на экран пользователю, по-видимому, не понадобятся. Конечно, пока трудно сказать, когда эти разработки будут воплощены в жизнь и планируется ли вообще выпуск смартфонов на их основе. Но если это все же произойдет, то модель от Nokia будет работать, скорее всего, на основе ОС Windows Phone, а от Samsung — на Android.
